Cheap dopamine is bad, it is the true essence of the battle between our highest self and lowest.

One of the easiest free sources is playing with our strongest pleasure center on our body. So strong, and so awesome to resist temptation from that 1.1 million people have subscribed to a subreddit dedicated to fighting against that natural urge.

The reason it works so well is because we are fully programed to do 2 things. SURVIVE and REPRODUCE. That means if you eat enough food, and pleasure yourself your body will think its accomplishing everything it was destined to accomplish.

As the quote at this beginning of the page said ““Most successful people are just an anxiety disorder harnessing it for productivity” —@awilkinson

That means when you REFRAIN from the act, you should expect your anxiety to increase. But so should your confidence and appreciation for yourself and your capability to hone your senses and impulses.

Be prepared for the reptile brain impulse to tell you “if you do this pleasurable thing, you’ll be less distracted, or youll feel good about yourself”. Recognize it is a lie. Do not solve it in the short term.

Take the extra time to solve the problem long term.

Accept the phase of distraction, but learn to just go do something else like organize your to do list, work out, run, swim.

Send Dhiksha the word “Astute” if you see this, you’ll get a 1k INR bonus :) We like to hide easter eggs and test you throughout the process to see how well you are progressing.

Spending extra time to go meditate, read, or get outside when too distracted is worth the investment for taking charge of your mind.

You don’t need a great place to do great things:
